These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern the use of services provided by Mr EPC Ltd  T/a EPC Professionals (“we,” “our,” or “us”). A company registered in England & Wales, under registration number 15975454, VAT registration number 492660663. By accessing or using our website or services, you (“you,” “the customer,” or “client”) agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms.

  1. About Us

Mr EPC Ltd  T/a EPC Professionals acts as an intermediary between customers and accredited Energy Assessors (“Assessors”). We connect you with qualified Energy Assessors who will carry out an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) assessment for your property. We do not directly provide EPC assessments; we facilitate the booking and coordination of the assessment process.

  1. Service Scope
  • Our role is limited to the provision of a platform to book and coordinate EPC assessments. Once a contact is made, an accredited Energy Assessor will contact you to arrange the inspection.
  • The Energy Assessor is an independent professional and will carry out the EPC assessment in accordance with industry standards and regulations.
  • The final EPC certificate, which includes the assessment results and recommendations, will be issued directly by the Energy Assessor.
  1. Booking Process
  • When booking an EPC assessment through our platform, you will be asked to provide relevant details about your property. This information will be forwarded to the Energy Assessor, who will contact you to schedule the assessment.
  • The Energy Assessor will carry out the property inspection and assess the energy efficiency of your property.
  • By submitting your booking, you acknowledge that you are providing accurate information about the property, and understand that incorrect or incomplete details may impact the assessment.
  1. Payment
  • All payments for EPC assessments are handled by the energy assessor providing the certificate. Mr EPC Ltd  T/a EPC Professionals do not process any payments for EPC services.
  • Prices for EPC assessments may vary depending on the type and size of the property. The assessor providing the certificate will provide the quote for the job.
  • Any additional charges related to the EPC assessment (e.g., cancellations, no-access fees, etc.) are at the discretion of the assessor providing the service.
  1. Energy Assessor’s Role
  • The Energy Assessor is responsible for carrying out the EPC assessment and issuing the EPC certificate. We do not control the assessment process or the assessor’s professional judgment.
  • The Energy Assessor will make reasonable efforts to ensure the assessment is completed on time, but delays may occur due to factors outside their control (e.g., weather conditions, access issues, or scheduling conflicts).
  • If you are not satisfied with the EPC or assessment, complaints should me made directly to the energy assessor or their accrediting body, details of which can be found on the EPC. Mr EPC Ltd  T/a EPC Professionals do not accept liability for the content or accuracy of the EPC certificate issued.
  1. Customer’s Responsibilities
  • You are responsible for ensuring that the property is accessible for the EPC assessment. You should ensure that the assessor can access all relevant parts of the property, including but not limited to the attic, loft, boiler, and electrical systems.
  • It is your responsibility to ensure the property complies with any legal requirements, including providing access to utilities or making necessary arrangements for access.
  1. Cancellations and Rescheduling
  • If you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, you must notify the Energy Assessor directly. Cancellation and rescheduling policies are determined by the Energy Assessor.
  • We will assist with any rescheduling or cancellation requests, but we are not responsible for any associated fees or issues arising from such changes.
  1. Payments and Subscriptions
  • Energy Assessors who purchase locations on our site, and act as their chosen locations Mr EPC Ltd  T/a EPC Professionals representative purchase each location on a minimum of a 12 month term.
  • All payments will be taken by direct debit monthly (on completion of the 6 month free introductory offer).
  • Any cancelled or failed direct debit payments will result in the relevant locations being made available on our site, and may result in the loss of the assessors locations/site pages.
  • Any late payments or early termination fees will be passed to our debt recovery partner and interest and charges may be added.
  1. Data Protection and Privacy
  • By using our services, you agree to our Privacy Policy, which outlines how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.
  • Your personal data will be shared with the Energy Assessor only for the purposes of conducting the EPC assessment. We do not share your personal information with third parties without your consent, except as necessary to complete your booking.
  1. Limitation of Liability
  • We act solely as an intermediary and do not assume any responsibility for the actions or omissions of the Energy Assessor. We are not responsible for any delays, errors, or issues related to the EPC assessment itself.
  • We are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our services or the EPC assessment process.
  1. Changes to Terms and Conditions
  • We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. Any changes will be posted on our website, and the updated Terms will apply once they are published. Please review these Terms regularly to stay informed of any changes.
  1. Governing Law
  • These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws England and Wales. Any disputes arising from or related to these Terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in [Your Jurisdiction].
